With warmer and drier conditions forecast for parts of southern and eastern Australia, planning ahead and using water efficiently will be important as irrigation demand increases through spring and summer.
We’ve been busy in recent months completing a range of program improvements across the Macalister, Werribee and Bacchus Marsh Irrigation Districts.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s long-range forecast there is no clear signal for either wetter or drier conditions across Victoria, meaning there are roughly equal changes of above or below average rainfall.
The season in the Macalister Irrigation District starts on Friday, 15 August and we’re looking forward to another productive one here and in our irrigation districts in Werribee and Bacchus Marsh.
