Luke Stuckey is a third generation Angus bull breeder who manages the Leawood Angus Stud in Flynn, Gippsland. Founded in 1944, his family has spent 80 years building up the genetic quality of their herd based on renowned New Zealand bloodlines. Today, his bulls command a premium price he says wouldn’t be possible without the secure water that supports the business.
It was all systems go at our most recent Macalister Irrigation District permanent water share auction, with 16 of the 21 lots selling. And that’s good for customers wanting to bolster their supplies because we’re selling the remaining water.
We’re heading back to Bacchus Marsh for another relaxed drop-in session with our local growers and we’re really looking forward to it.
