End of season arrangements for Macalister/Thomson customers
The 2024-25 irrigation season is finishing on Thursday 15 May for customers on the channel and piped systems. All channels will now be drained so we can undertake essential maintenance.
We would like to remind customers on the network to arrange alternative stock and domestic supply until the season reopens on 15 August 2025.
The season for Thomson and Macalister River and Rainbow Creek river diverters will finish on June 30. We will announce the new starting allocation on 1 July and river diverters can take water under this seasonal allocation, giving them continuous water supply.
We will be undertaking essential channel maintenance over winter to ensure water can be delivered efficiently in the 2025-26 season that starts for channel/pipeline customers on 15 August 2025.
Bacchus Marsh and Werribee Irrigation District arrangements
The 2024-25 winter roster commenced in both the Bacchus Marsh and Werribee Irrigation Districts on 5 May and will be in place until 1 September 2025. The winter rosters for both districts have been published on our website.
Construction projects and preventative maintenance programs will be undertaken in the non-supply weeks starting on Monday 19 May.
For Werribee, this means that the Main and 4/1 pipelines will be isolated, and water cannot be supplied to the district in the planned non-supply weeks. We are making water available for two weeks between 9 - 20 June for customers to fill dams to prepare for an extended two-week non-supply period between 21 June and 6 July.
End of season meter reads and reconciliation of accounts will also occur during the two-week non-supply period. We will announce the new starting allocation for the Werribee System on 1 July.
