Apply to be a member on Southern Rural Water’s customer committee

Southern Rural Water is inviting customers to apply to become members of the Macalister Customer Consultative Committee (MCCC) and the Southern Groundwater and Rivers Forum.  

The MCCC is a committee of Southern Rural Water’s customers that provides valuable advice to Southern Rural Water on key operational and service issues.  

Applications are open to eligible customers in the Macalister Irrigation District, and river diverters on the Thomson and Macalister Rivers and Rainbow Creek. Membership is for a term of up to four years.  

The Southern Groundwater and Rivers Forum is a committee of Southern Rural Water’s customers that provides valuable advice to Southern Rural Water on groundwater policy, and operational and service issues.  

Applications are open to eligible Southern Rural Water customers with a groundwater or surface water licence. Membership is a term of up to four years.  

How to apply 

To apply for the Macalister Consultative Committee, complete the application form and email to hayleyt@srw.com.au or return in person to Southern Rural Water’s office at 88 Johnson Street, Maffra. 

To apply for the Southern Groundwater and Rivers Forum, complete the application form and email to hayleyt@srw.com.au 

Applications for both committees close on Friday, 14 November.  

 

More information 

Committee meetings are held four times each year at key times during the irrigation season, with additional meetings held as required.  

Southern Rural Water will mentor and support new members in their advisory role.  

Committee members are paid session fees, including travel allowances, where eligible.
