The opening (and minimum) groundwater allocation for the Deutgam WSPA this irrigation season (from 1 July 2023) is 100%, which applies to both permanent and traded groundwater. Southern Rural Water introduced groundwater allocation rules for the Deutgam aquifer in 2017-18 to better protect the Deutgam aquifer and give our customers more groundwater security.
