Registering

To register as a new user, click on Register at the top of the window on the WaterBid site. You will be asked for your name, a username and password, and contact information, including your email address. You must be at least 18 years of age to register.

    How can I register?
    To register as a new user, visit https://waterbid.srw.com.au/ and click on ‘Register’ at the top of the screen on the WaterBid site. You will need an email address and will be asked for your contact details, a username and password. You must be at least 18 years of age to register.

    Once your registration request is submitted you will receive an email to confirm your registration. You must click on the activation link in the email to verify the registration request and to be able to log in to WaterBid.

    I’ve registered but forgotten my password?
    You can request a new password by visiting https://waterbid.srw.com.au/ and clicking on ‘Login.’ At the bottom of the login fields there is a ‘forgot your password?’ link. Click on this link and complete the details. You will be emailed a new password.

    How can I change my password?
    Once logged in, you can change your password by clicking on ‘My control panel’ at the top of the screen. From the left hand pane, select ‘Edit your personal profile.’

    Enter in your new password and click on ‘Save changes’ at the bottom of the screen.

    How can I update my contact details?
    Once logged in, you can update your contact details by clicking on ‘My control panel’ at the top of the screen. From the left hand pane, select ‘Edit your personal profile.’

    Update the relevant information and click on ‘Save changes’ at the bottom of the screen.

    How do I bid?
    Once you have registered on WaterBid, you can choose to bid on whichever lot(s) you are interested in. You are bidding on the whole lot, for example 5ML of Macalister Irrigation District water shares with allocation.

    The amount you bid is for the whole lot, and not a per megalitre price. E.g. If you are bidding $5,000 on a 5ML lot, you are not paying $5,000 per megalitre. You are paying $5,000 for the total lot of 5ML (so $1,000 per ML).

    You can check the current highest bid and make a bid above that amount if there is still time left in the auction.

    Is there a reserve price?
    In some cases a reserve price may apply to an auction.

    How will I know if I have been outbid?
    During the auction you will need to ‘refresh’ the auction page to see new bids. You can log in and increase your bid if there is still time left in the auction.

    How will I know if I won the auction?
    The successful bidder will be notified by email after the auction ends.

    How do I pay for the water?
    Customers will be contacted within 24 hours after the auction ends to advise next steps. An invoice will be sent with SRW’s account details and payment can be made by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

    Can I view previous auction results?
    You can view previous auctions results by visiting our Water auctions and sales page and scrolling down ‘Previous water auction results.’
