Southern Rural Water is a Victorian Government Authority. We are responsible for managing rural water resources
across the southern half of country Victoria. Click

- Headworks - Blue
Rock Dam, Glenmaggie Dam, Narracan Dam, Rosslynne Dam, Pykes Creek Dam, Merrimu Dam, Melton Dam, Cowwarr Weir, Yallourn

- Licensing - Surface water and groundwater licences, establishing Water Supply Protection
Areas, Streamflow Management Plans and Groundwater Management Plans
- Irrigation - Macalister Irrigation District, Werribee Irrigation District and Bacchus
Marsh Irrigation District
We have more than 9,000 customers, mostly farmers, graziers and growers.
Our annual turnover is approximately $23 million and we invest more than $5 million in capital works programs each year.
Our main business centres are located in Maffra, Werribee and Warrnambool. We employ around 140 people and have a network
of field staff across southern Victoria - from Bairnsdale to Hamilton.
