Southern Rural Water (SRW) has two exciting job opportunities available through the Youth Employment Program.
Funded by the State government as part of the coronavirus (COVID-19) Roadmap to Recovery, SRW is looking to provide meaningful employment for young people in the local area, as these positions will be based in Maffra.
Jo Giannini, General Manager of People, Safety and Culture said: “Southern Rural Water and the Victorian government is aware how difficult it has been for young people to find and retain roles in the current climate.”
“We are going through a period of productive change as we modernise irrigation systems, improve water management into the future and find better ways to communicate with customers. We are pleased to be part of this program offering great opportunities for young people to contribute to the innovative changes we are making to our business.”
The two roles – People and Corporate Services Support Officer, and IT Help Desk Officer – are entry-level positions. To be eligible for the roles, young people need to meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 17 – 29 years
- Eligible to work for the Victorian Government
- Currently unemployed and living near Maffra
These roles will be advertised through SideKicker from 30 November 2020. To register and apply go to www.vic.gov.au/workingforvictoria or call 1800 882 694.
