Lake Narracan is popular for water skiing, boating and other recreational activities. Southern Rural Water manages the water releases from Blue Rock Lake to Lake Narracan for the local power stations. Occasionally we release water from Blue Rock Lake to Lake Narracan as part of an ongoing agreement with the Latrobe Council and Ski Club.
Visitors are reminded to practice good hygiene, and follow current rules for physical distancing, face-coverings and maximum group sizes.
Find the latest information on the current restrictions on the Victorian Government website.
Please note: The Latrobe City Council is responsible for the waterway, recreation and surrounding land.
The dam is an essential part of providing water for cooling the power stations generators in the Latrobe Valley.
