Anyone wanting to update their home office or small business might find a few bargains at the Southern Rural Water office refurbishment clearing sale this week.
The offices at 88 Johnson Street Maffra are undergoing some modernisation. Staff have moved to the back section of the building while the front section is renovated. Surplus office furniture, partitions, equipment and carpets will be available to the public in a general clearing sale to be conducted at the office on Thursday morning, starting at 10am.
The items include: split system air conditioners, lighting, carpet, roofing iron and miscellaneous office equipment. The auction is being conducted by Greenwood Livestock and bidders must be registered before commencement of the auction.
During the renovations, SRW customers can reach the temporary reception area through the eastern entrance, on the laneway beside the information centre. Project manager, Chris Hughes, said that SRW apologises for any inconvenience during the works.
“Works are progressing on schedule and we are very pleased with what has been done so far. Customers are still able to access the office during our normal hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, through our temporary reception area.”
It is expected that the refurbishment will be complete and staff can return to the front section of the building by early May.
