As part of the Gippsland Sustainable Water Strategy, a volume of water in the Blue Rock Reservoir has been put aside for temporary allocation under the drought reserve. This water is now available to be sold to licensed irrigators on the Latrobe River, downstream of Blue Rock Reservoir, for use to the end of this season 30 June 2019.

This temporary water will put up for auction on Southern Rural Water’s (SRW’s) online auction site WaterBid. Eligible customers must be registered on WaterBid to place bids. To be eligible, you must hold a current Section 51 Irrigation Licence on the Latrobe River downstream of Blue Rock Reservoir.

A minimum of 425 megalitres in multiple lots and will be available for auction from 11 am on Monday 25 February 2019 with the auctions ending from 11 am Wednesday 27 February 2019.

To bid on the online auction, you must complete the “Expressions of Interest” application form. This form can be downloaded (below) and must be received before 4 pm on Friday 23 February 2019 by mail or email.
