Funding to complete MID upgrades

The Victorian Government has announced $10.4m funding to complete modernisation of the Macalister Irrigation District in a four-year program commencing this winter.
The MID2 project will reconfigure the Newry irrigation supply with pipeline replacing channels and automation of outlets. There will also be upgrades and reconfiguration of the Nuntin supply network. A large proportion of the funding will go towards channel and outlet reconfiguration upgrades across the district.

SRW is maintaining services

Southern Rural Water continues to maintain normal water services, despite closing its offices to the public last week to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The majority of staff are now working remotely and following social distancing when site visits are necessary. Customers across southern Victoria can continue to reach all services by phone, email and online web chat as normal.
